It is now confirmed that She Maroons is the other team that will take part in the 2021 FUFA Elite League final.

This is after they defeated Wakiso Hills 1-0 in the second semi final that was played on Tuesday afternoon at Njeru.

The Prison Warders who have had an impressive run since the season started by winning all their games were never in doubt despite the slim margin in terms of victory.

Naluyima Kautharah scored the all important goal to see She Maroons move to within a single victory of a first major title.

With both sides having their sights set on the final, play was concentrated mainly in the middle.

Maroons then started exerting their superiority as they created the better chances.

At the stroke of halftime, they pounced. Naluyima who had been an issue for the Wakiso defence curled an effort into the back of the net, leaving goalkeeper Zulaikah Ayikoru rooted to her spot.

Despite being a goal up, Maroons pressed for a second in the early exchanges of the second half.

Millicent Namwembe tried her luck from just inside the area but Ayikoru was equal to the task.

Moments later, the Antlops had their best chance to equalize but Jeridah Nanyonjo’s free-kick was saved by Ajuko Esther in the She Maroons goal.

In the end, She Maroons held on to book a date with Rines WFC who overcame Bunyaruguru Girls on penalties, in the final.

The final will be played on Thursday, June 03 at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
