Basangwa Out As Vipers Players Join Cranes Camp

Richard Basangwa missed Friday’s training with the Uganda Cranes as the side continue preparations for the upcoming friendly with Bafana Bafana.

The Vipers explosive winger has reportedly tested positive for Covid19, joining Express intelligent forward Eric Kambale on the sick bed.

This will be a big blow for the St Mary’s SS graduate after a breakout season at Vipers where he even grabbed a player of the match against Kitara away in Masindi.

This was the first senior call up for Basangwa after he impressed with Uganda Hippos at AFCON U20 Championship.
