Khalid Aucho’s Contract Impasse Puts Suitors On alert

Khalid Aucho’s contract impasse with Egyptian club Msir El Makkasa has left a host of suitors twiddling their fingers at the prospect of luring the midfield enforcer.

Aucho’s two year contract with the Egyptian outfit will expire at the end of the season, and reports are rife he is hell-bent not to sign a contract extension.

The situation has caught the attention of the player’s admirers with Tanzanian giants Simba SC and Azam FC wanting to pounce on the free agent.

Simba, for their part are in a desperate search of a top player to replace anchor man Jonas Mkude whose contract with the club will run down at the end of the season.

And they have identified the former Gor Mahia player as the right candidate to fill the void.

Simba’s top brass are reportedly in contact with Aucho’s representatives and the former strongly believe that they will get their man.

Aucho was on the verge of joining another Egyptian side Al ittihad Alexandria last year but the deal fell through at the eleventh hour.

The player is reportedly experiencing torrid times at the club and he has informed his representatives he wants to try his talents elsewhere.

Aucho, who names local army side Simba FC as his former employers, has endured a troubled football year thus far.

The midfielder was suspended for Uganda Cranes’s crucial AFCON qualification game against Malawi reportedly for misconduct. He was again a notable absentee when Cranes Caretaker coach Abdullah Mubiru summoned 34 players in the ongoing international break.

Uganda played visitors to South Africa and lost 3-2.

In case Aucho’s deal to Simba materialises, he will join forces with fellow countryman Taddeo Lwanga who has developed into one of the side’s mainstays.
