Arua based side Arua Hill have received the sample of the artificial turf that might be laid for their newly constructed Stadium.
According to Club Chairman Jaffer A’ita the sythetic fibre was got from one of the top companies based in Spain.
Arua Hill Arua Hill Stadium that also has a business Park has been under construction since June 2019 and was expected to be ready for use in July 2021.
But due to heavy rains in June and July coupled with diverse effects of the Corona Virus lockdown since March 2020, construction has run at a snail’s pace.
By September 2020, construction was at 60 percent according to Jaffer A’ita Joel, the project manager and CEO of Joadah Consult.
The 20,000 capacity stadium is a Public Private Partnership between Arua City Council who leased the land for 49 years and Development Infrastructure who provided the funding.
It will be a home to Arua Hill who were promoted to the Uganda Premier League for the first time ever.
Arua Hill Park is a multi purpose Sports and business complex located next to the Arua City monument at the round about on Pakwach Road in Arua.
It will be a venue for football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, badminton. The Arua Hill Park will also a doctor’s plaza and 4-star hotel with 60 beds and a swimming pool.
