Saidi Kyeyune In Youthful Uganda Squad For Cecafa Championship

Midfielder Saidi Kyeyune has been included in the Uganda squad for the upcoming 2021 Cecafa senior Challenge Cup.

The tournament will be played by players under the age of 23 and will be held in Ethiopia due July 3-18, 2021.

The team will be coached by Uganda Hippos and KCCA FC Coach Morley Byekwaso.

Tournament rules allow a team to have at least three players who above the age of 23.

Uganda has included five over age players where the three will be selected from. Besides Kyeyune, the other four are Isma Watenga, Charles Lukwago, Yunus Ssentamu and Murushid Juuko.

Kyeyune was Uganda’s best player at the Chan 2020 where he scored two goals including a beauty against Togo.

He was signed by Sudanese side Al Merrikh before the club terminated his contract after a short spell.
