Colin McSharar Named Uganda Women Lacrosse Coach

Uganda Lacrosse has named American Colin Mcsharar as the new head coach for the Women’s team.

Mcsharar replaces Brandon Davis who was appointed midway last year.

He has served in Uganda before under the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) programs.

He comes with cast coaching experience having served at Fishers High School, Anderson University, Franklin College and Butler University in the USA.

He works with Indy United Lacrosse Club as a goalie coach, and has also done private lessons for several high school goalies around Indianapolis- producing several All-State selections. 
He was a four-year letter winner as a goalie at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis.

McSharar was also a four-year letter winner and two-year starter at Mount St. Joseph University. During his senior year in 2011, he helped lead the Lions to their first ever conference championship game. An All-Conference selection that year, he led the conference in goals against average, total saves, and clearing percentage.

He currently holds the school record for wins in a season and total goals against average. He also holds the NCAA record for career points as a goalie with 3. While at MSJ, McSharar was coached by 2000 Syracuse National Champion Patrick Kennedy, the son of Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame coach Thomas Kennedy. 

McSharar earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Mount St. Joseph in 2011.
