Reports: Basena Leaves Rwanda’s Sunrise FC

Moses Basena has left his role as head coach of Sunrise FC, reports have told The-SportsNation.

The former Uganda Cranes coach was not on the touchline as his side lost 2-1 to Gorilla FC on Monday.

Evariste Ntamugabumwe was on the touchline for Sunrise FC which is also home for Yafesi Mubiru, Ayub Kizza and Hood Kaweesa.

Consequently, Sunrise FC have been relegated to lower division after finishing second from bottom of the Primus National League.

Basena joined Sunrise in July 2019 after the club had parted ways with Justin Bisengimana towards the end of the previous season. Evaliste Ntamugabumwe had taken charge of the remaining five games then.
