Robinson Opong Boosts Silverbacks, Inside Team Camp in Photos

Shooting Guard Robinson Opong Odoch has joined the Silverbacks in camp in Cairo, Egypt.

This is a major boost for team Uganda who is preparing for a crucial Afrobasket qualifier against Morocco on July 8 .

Uganda will need one win from two of the rescheduled games (the other Vs Cape Verde) to qualify to the finals in Kigali, Rwanda.

The Silverbacks won two of the three games in the first window held in Egypt in November 2020 before their second window campaign in Tunis was halted by Covid19 in February.

Opong averaged 19 points, four rebounds and 2.7 assists in Alexandria. He shot 7/12 from beyond the arc against Morocco as Uganda ran away 94-90 victors.

The Silverbacks are expected to leave Egypt to Morocco on July 3rd.
