KCCA FC Confirms Departure of Defender Fillbert Obenchan

Star Times Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC have confirmed the departure of their defender Fillbert Obenchan.

The defender, who ran out of contract in May this year, leaves the club after spending six years at the Lugogo based club.

Obenchan after spending two years in the KCCA soccer academy, was promoted to KCCA FC senior team in 2017 together with other players like Allan Okello, Peter Magambo among others.

He also had a loan spell at army side simba which was cut short and brought back to KCCA FC mid season of 2017-2018.

The right back has seen himself earn a place in the first team and was a key member during the successive years of former KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi.

Obenchan’s departure now brings attention to many potential clubs in and outside Uganda, yearning for his signature.

With the rebuilding process on next season, many senior players are still uncertain about their future at the club next season.
