Express Start Contract Negotiations With Murushid Juuko

The Red Eagles, who are preparing to play in CAF Champions League, are willing to break the bank to let Juuko stay.

Defender Murushid Juuko is out of contract and is currently a free agent.

Express FC have reportedly opened talks with the experienced centre back about extending his stay at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

The defender has however recieved other suitors from Egypt and South Africa among other clubs local and abroad.

Juuko joined Express FC at the start of the 2020/21 season after ending his contract with Botola Pro side Wydad Casablanca.

He was an integral member of the title winning squad as Express FC powered to their first league title since 2012.

Coach Wasswa Bbosa named Juuko as Express FC’s best player of the recently concluded campaign.

Juuko has had stints with Bunamwaya (now Vipers), defunct Victoria University FC and Tanzanian giants Simba SC tec.

His experience includes two Africa Cup of Nations finals apperances with Uganda Cranes – 2017 (Gabon) and 2019 (Egypt).
