Jimmy Enabu Speaks Out

“Finally I can breathe.. today was exciting, we showed that we are a team, everyone was picking anyone else. Its one of those games you go into not knowing what you can expect,” team captain Jimmy Enabu said.

“For the game to turn out the way it did, finishing the way it did after playing what I could call a dog fight. I am proud of the team, coaching staff, I think they did a great job in integrating the new guys with the old. The local based players had not played for a while and had to go for a camp and managed to come up to speed.

“When you win, you definitely get that feeling that you did something right, and we played against all odds and we are here back at the Afrobasket championship

“We are lucky that things got together at the right time, making it three times at Afrobasket in a row is a big time. Making it the first time was huge and once we made it then, we did not want to look back.

“Its not easy, there are really challenges but somehow we have been able to ride through all that and winning this game makes it all sweeter.”
