For many, the name “Sentamu” is not new in Ugandan football as he was headed to to the realms of wasted talents.

Seven years ago, he came onto the scene with a prolific goal return at the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa, netting three goals in four games.

His fine form at Chan earned him a plethora of admirers around Africa. However, he sealed a deal at Congolese Giants As Vita Club at only 19 years and later joined Tunisian outfit CS Sfaxien.

But he has been out of action for almost a year after ending his spell at Albania’s FK Tirana due to un known reasons.

Coming back home, Sentamu returned to his boyhood club Vipers with five games into the 2020/21 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season and it did not take him ages to get off the mark, as he scored a brace in a 7-0 trumping of MYDA FC in his first game.

This was the start of his new lease of life, and he has gone on to scale dizzying heights.

“I’m not surprised for putting up a good performance in the league, but I thank God first who gave me the talent and I keep on working hard as well.

“As well, I have been doing the same things, all the way from my school days and I my coaches are proud of me.”
Sentamu still focuses taking his scoring exploits to a whole new level.

“I won’t express much expectations because even when I was coming to the league, I did not give much expectations but what I know after working hard and praying to Allah, I Know he Will help me put up a good performance again.”

His side Vipers finished third with 56 points, after Express were declared Champions of the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League.
