Express Set To Beat KCCA FC To Kyetume Midfielder’s Signature

Express FC have emerged as frontrunners to the signature of Kyetume FC midfielder Nicholas Kasozi.

KCCA FC are also in the race and coach Morley Byekwaso has already talked to his former player who left Lugogo in controversial circumstances.

The midfielder joined Kyetume in 2020 from KCCA FC after falling out with head coach Mike Mutebi, to say the least.

Kasozi still has a year and half left on his contract at Kyetume FC.

The-SportsNation sources have it that Express, who reportedly added Kyetume goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa, may end up luring the midfielder to Wankulukuku.

Kyetume are however reluctant to let the player go for a cheap fee.

It is said that Kyetume FC president Ruben Kimera bought the player a Subaru for the player to put pen on paper.

In addition, Kasozi has been earning around Sh1.5m, a big wage bill which Express may not fulfill.

However, the midfielder may fancy a chance to reunite with Wasswa Bbosa who he worked with during their days at SC Villa.

The reality of playing in Big League with Kyetume FC next season may force Kasozi to force an exit.

The-SportsNation has learnt that Express FC are pushing a second option of taking the midfielder on a season-long loan!

With KCCA FC following matters closely, Kasozi’s move to KCCA FC will be fulfilled if he holds more talks with Byekwaso when he returns from Ethiopia (Cecafa U23).

The former Synergy FC Midfielder who won one league tittle and the CECAFA kagame Cup in Rwanda, is also on URA FC wishlist.
