CECAFA U23: Kenya Prove Too Good For Djibouti

Kenya opened their CECAFA U23 campaign with a convincing win against minnows Djibouti on Sunday.

The Emerging Stars strolled to a commanding 3-0 win in a one-sided affair at the Bahir Dar in Ethiopia.

John Njuguna, Reagan Otieno ans Benson Omalla were on target for Stanley Khayo Okumbi’s charges.

“It is a good way to start a tournament, but we need to prepare well for our next game against South Sudan,” Okumbi is quoted by Cecafa.

The victory is a warning sign for other Cup favourites in Ethiopia.

Kenya, now on top of Group C, will look to seal their place in the semis when they face South Sudan on July 21.

Kenya will qualify surely against South Sudan with a draw.
