Uganda will seek to improve on their medal-tally at the Olympics when the 2020 games get underway in Tokyo this Friday.
The country has seven medals altogether including two golds – John Akibua (400m hurdles) in 1972 Munich and Stephen Kiprotich (Marathon) in 2012 London.
With 25 athletes set to raise the national flag high, Uganda has their biggest contingent since the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, United States.
For the first time, Uganda will be represented by a rower – Kathleen Noble. Catherine Nanziri will be the first female boxer from Uganda.
There are 13 women of the 25 on Team Uganda including the duo of Halimah Nakaayi and Winnie Nanyondo.
Uganda’s schedule below has left out semis or final dates for athletes who are starting at first rounds or heats.
