KCCA FC has completed the signing of left back cum winger Brian Majwega, it is official.
The Lugogo based side made the unveiling on Sunday night during the KCCA FC TV show on Sanyuka TV.
He put pen to a two-year contract and becomes Morley Byekwaso’s first signing ahead of the new season.
Majwega who recently ran down his contract at URA FC, returns to the 13th League champions for a third stint.
Majwega left KCCA FC in 2017 and had earlier played for the club between 2009 and 2013.
He has previously featured for Azam (Tanzania), Simba (Tanzania), Attraco (Rwanda), Maroons (Uganda) and URA FC (Uganda).
He is expected to make his debut when KCCA FC goes out to defend the CECAFA Kagame Cup due 1-15 August 2021.
What Does Brian Majwega Bring On KCCA FC Table?
Brian Majwega needs no introduction, especially to KCCA FC fans.
Since Mustafa Kizza’s departure, the Club has struggled to fill the void at left back.
Kizza was roving and contributed much on offense with his explosive attacks and dangerous crosses.
Majwega is one of the best fullbacks the league has seen in recent memory.
The Veteran has excelled both at defense and offense thanks to his ability to play as a wing-back.
He may have lost that pace as age continues to catch up on him, but its his experience that coach Morley Byekwaso is looking for among other attributes.
He is a leader and still has that athleticism and trickery that can keep fullbacks at the opposite end checked.
