Emmanuel Wasswa completes move to KCCA FC

KCCA FC have completed the signing of former SC Villa midfielder Emmanuel Wasswa on a three year contract employment contract following a successful agreement between both parties.

The move comes in the aftermath of his mutual agreement to part ways with the Jogoos and take his place in the new look KCCA under the stewardship of Morley Byekwaso.

Wasswa who convinced viewers at Ndejje University before earning a move to SC Villa is an orthodox defensive midfielder or proverbially an anchorman who plays with a high level of discipline.

He was seen to commit his future with a three year contract (that will harbor him from July 2021-2024) to the Lugogo based side earlier this Tuesday 27/07/2021 in a confirmation on their website.

The move to Lugogo however implies that he will have to shrug off competition from Gift Ali (who is often asked to operate in the position), Jurua Hassan, Denis Iguma (who takes the mantle especially in times of an injury crisis) or from Ashraf Mugume (who often plays further upfront).

Most importantly though, the midfielder is likely to make his debut for the Kasasiro Boys as they aim to defend the CECAFA Kagame Cup the coming month.

KCCA will have to negotiate passage into Group A against Le Messanger Ngozi FC from Burundi and Zanzibar’s KMKM scheduled from 1st to 15th August in Tanzanian capital Dar Es Salaam.

That withstanding, the former Vipers FC player becomes the fourth signing for them since the window opened following acquisition of the services of Innocent Wafula, Arafat Usama, Brian Kayanja and Brian Majwega who was confirmed on Sunday.

The club has since released two players who include: the fullbacks in Fillbert Obenchan and Moses Kalanzi.
