Express FC Confirms Akandwanaho As Second Signing

Express FC have unveiled winger Joseph Akandwanaho as their second signing of the season in the ongoing transfer window.

Akandwanaho joins the Red Eagles after a brilliant spell with Bright Stars where he formed a formidable attacking force with Joseph Janjali and Sam Ssekamatte Kayongo.

The former Nyamityobora attacker has signed a two-year contract at Wankulukuku.

“It is a dream come true,” Akandwanaho told Express FC on his new move.

“I have always wanted to play for a club with rich history, I am grateful to everyone who made this happen but most importantly I want to reiterate that I am here to help the club achieve its dream of winning more silverware.”

He banged eight league goals last season and becomes the second addition after the club unveiled Joel Mutakubwa.

Akandwanaho, son of John Muhumuza and Jenipher Kansiime, joins an attack force that already has Eric Kambale, Martin Kizza and Godfrey Lwesibawa.

The Winger is blessed with electric pace and skill that enables him get off markers. His ability to find space in defence will give him a nod in Express starting team.

He holds a diploma in electrical engineering at Uganda military engineering college, Lugazi.
