Football Players Perish In Bomb Explosion

About Four football players lost their lives while several others injured after a bomb blast targeted a bus carrying a local soccer team in Somalia’s port city of Kismayo on Friday, Anadolu agency has stated.

The injured were taken to hospitals in Kismayo.

A story in Caasimada news has confirmed that the players on the bus were from the JCCI team in Kismayo.

The car hit by the blast was completely burnt, and there were more reports of casualties.

Security forces and paramedics arrived at the scene of the blast and began rescuing the players.

The story continues that the security forces were pursuing the teams after the attack that targeted the city’s JCCI players based in the city.
