Fortebet Real Stars Awards: Cheptegei Headlines July Winners

World Champion Joshua Cheptegei was one of the July Winners who were recognised at the Fortebet Real Stars Sports Awards on Monday.

The best performers were selected from four sports disciplines thanks to awards sponsors Fortebet, Jude Colour Solutions and Canaan Drinks.

Cheptegei was named the best Athlete for the concluded month of July, beating Jacob Kiplimo and Winnie Nanyondo to the gong.

He takes the gong after his silver medal in the 10,000m at the ongoing Olympics games in Tokyo, Japan.

The multiple world records holder, currently preparing for 5000m, was represented by Uganda Athletics Federation official Ali Ngaimoko.
