Following the departure of key players at the club, Soltilo Bright Stars have confirmed the return of midfielder Medi Kyetune on a season-long contract.
Kyeyune is an old boy at the club who had earlier left for greener pastures in the Somalian Super League with Elman SC. His stay there was indeed short-lived and the player would return home at his earliest convenience, joining West Nile giants Onduparaka FC.
His rebound back home to Solitilo Bright Stars however follows an unprecedented release by the club along with fourteen others, something that might just present itself as a blessing in disguise for him.
He intends to use this second chance to revive his career and get back to the heights that made him a big shot two years ago prior to his departure from the club. He spoke highly about this opportunity.
“I am excited to rejoin Soltilo Bright Stars and get to finish the work I started two years ago. I am looking forward to working with the coaches to take the club to greater heights,” Kyeyune spoke after signing his contract.
Soltilo Bright Stars who finished fifth on the log the previous season have already lost two key players in the transfer with Joseph Akandwanaho joining the reigning Champions Express FC while Talisman Samuel Ssekamatte signed for new entrants Arua Hill.
Further reports indicate that defender Derrick Ngoobi’s contract is left with just two month to come to expire. Baker Mbowa along with his technical team might just face a difficult job in trying to recreate the prowess of the just concluded season.
