CECAFA: KCCA Vs Messanger: Preview, Probable Lineups and How To Watch

KCCA FC are 90 minutes away from reaching the semifinal of the ongoing CECAFA Kagame Cup.

The Morley Byekwaso charges return for their last group B match on Saturday against Burundi’s Messanger Ngozi.

Azam FC are already through to the last four – So KCCA, Messanger and KMKM will be fighting for the remaining second place in Group B.

KCCA currently occupy the second place with three points, while Messanger and KMKM are one point apiece.

The Lugogo based side started the campaign with a 2-0 loss to Azam but recovered in their second match KMKM 1-0 to clinch maximum points.

Herbert Achai scored the all important goal when the defender cum midfielder chased on a through ball from Bright Anukani to make a beautiful finish.

It remains to be seen which changes Morley Byekwaso will make.

Goalkeeper Ali Mwirusi put up a good performance and may get the nod ahead of Hassan Matovu in goal.

Brian Aheebwa has started both games but yet to get on the scoresheet while the armband has moved hands from Gift Ali to Julius Poloto in the two games. Will it change again?

Messanger on the other hand, are the champions of Burundi.

They opened their CECAFA Kagame Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw with KMKM thanks to Akbar Muderi strike.

They then fell 1-0 to Azam FC with Iddi Kipagwile on the target for the later to seal a place in the last four.

With one point, the Burundi side need victory against KCCA FC to have a chance of qualifying in the semifinal.

That will take some great team work and some individual brilliance from captain Cedrick Danny Urasenga and Olivier Bayizere among other key players on the team.
