Arua Hill Identifies Ssempigi As Mbabazi’s Assistant

Uganda Premier League new entrants Arua Hill Sports Club are set to reveal their coaching staff ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The club has reportedly appointed Livingston Mbabazi and Sadiq Ssempigi as head and assistant coach.

Ssempigi worked as Mbabazi’s assistant at Mbarara City in the second half of last season.

He has also had stints with Onduparaka FC in the Uganda Premier League.

Yusuf Ssenyonjo who has worked with Mbabazi as well, is expected to be named as the new goalkeeping coach.

Mbabazi was previously named the assistant coach of Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic on the Uganda Cranes.

However, the Serbian said that his assistant must not be attached to any club in the league and it remains to be seen how Mbabazi will address the matter.

Arua Hills have already unveiled former Calvary coach Ahmed Borin as a new member of the technical team.

The technical team of Hussein Mbalangu, Joseph Kiwanuka and Ivan Ntambi that helped the club earn UPL status, is on their way out.

The Arua based side have already beefed up their squad for their maiden UPL with Samuel Kayongo, Ivan Eyam, Ibrahim Faizul, Yusuf Ssaka and Junior Andama.
