Micho Summons 30-man Provisional Squad For World Cup Qualifiers

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic has summoned the squad to start preparing for the forthcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

The squad of 30 comprises of locally based players and the foreign based players that are currently in Uganda (off season).

Per FUFA website, the remaining foreign based players will be named on a later date before the final squad is announced.

The team will start training on Monday, 16th August at a venue yet to be communicated.

This will go on up to Saturday before the team departs for the foreign camp in Jordan.

Uganda is in Group E of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers alongside Kenya, Rwanda and Mali.

Teh Cranes starts away to Kenya on September 1 before facing Mali at home on September 5, 2021.

Denis Iguma, Nicholas Kasozi, Gift Ali, Jude Ssemugabi and Martin Kizza are some of the surprise inclusions in the summoned squad.
