Uganda Cranes: Moses Basena In Line To Replace Mbabazi

Federation of Uganda Football Association is contemplating on replacing Livingston Mbabazi as Uganda Cranes assistant coach.

Mbabazi was appointed as Micho’s assistant, a job the Serbian said that it should be for a coach who is not attached to any local club.

Per reports, Mbabazi is said to have agreed terms with new Uganda Premier League side Arua Hill.

The former Onduparaka, Wakiso Giants, Kyetume and Mbarara City coach already held training sessions with Arua Hill.

Moses Basena has now emerged on the FUFA radar to replace Mbabazi.

Basena who is said to have parted ways with Sunrise FC in Rwanda, is also a target for URA FC who will be taking part in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Basena was Micho’s assistant coach at Uganda Cranes and was elevated to head coach in 2017 when the Serbian left.

He has previously coached Simba SC, URA FC, The Saints, KCCA FC, UPDF FC and SC Villa among others.
