Reports: Ssekajugo Joins URA FC

Uganda Premier League side URA FC is said to have completed the signing of former Wakiso Giants forward Viane Ssekajugo on a two-year deal, as first reported by Kawowo Sports.

The former Masaka Local Council forward joined the Purple Sharks from West Nile side Onduparaka FC in the 2019/20 season.

He is believed to have been a free agent at the time of approach from URA FC following expiry of his contract with Wakiso Giants at the end of the previous season.

With a move successfully completed, Ssekajugo will provide competition and help improve the URA FC frontline since he comes with vast experience having featured for a number of clubs in Ugandan football.

In the event that the deal is done, he will also be reunited with his former coach at Onduparaka Simeon Masaba who is currently the interim Head Coach with the Tax Collectors.

URA FC will represent Uganda in the forthcoming CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds where a tie against Ethiopian Coffee FC has already been lined up for them.

Adding Ssekajugo to their forward thinking frontline will not only wreak havoc to opposition defenses but also create a sense of dominance for the club in the offensive manner of the game while on the continent.

The Tax Collectors have already completed the signing of Derrick Ndahiro, Simon Baligeya, goalkeeper James Alitho while veteran defender Patrick Mbowa has extended his stay with the club.

There is also rumour that the club finalised the signing of Onduparaka FC playmaker Kabon Living. The club is yet to confirm or unveil the said player.
