The record Uganda Premier League holders SC Villa have officially unveiled Uganda U17 youngster Travis Mutyaba on a three-year employment contract.
Mutyaba, who was named the best player of the tournament as the Cubs clinched the CECAFA U17 championship held in Rwanda in December last year joins SC Villa with lots of expectations in his abilities as a player.
The fascinating youngster has also recently featured for Vipers SC Junior team in the FUFA Juniors league before playing for Buganda Ssaza side Bulemeezi in the 2020 edition of the Masaza tournament.
It is therefore fair to say that St. Mary’s SS Kitende has had a humongous contribution towards the development of the creative midfielder since he featured them during his school days.
He was full of ecstasy and delight upon completion of his unveiling and this is a snapshot of what he shared with the club media team during an interview:
“I’m happy to join this club and am looking forward to getting on this new challenge. It is a big opportunity for me as a young player to represent a club so full of history.”
Travis joins his fellow teammate at the national U17 team Oscar Mawa who was also recently unveiled by the club on Saturday last week.
He becomes the sixth signing for the Joggos, joining other new entrants like Defender Kenneth Ssemakula, midfielder Isma Mugulusi, Ali Bayo and Gift Fred.
As the club looks to gain new leadership through the voting slated on 28th this month, more new youngsters are reported to be on their way to the 16 time record champions.
