Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic has excluded 11 players including striker Patrick Henry Kaddu as the team takes shape for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
Kaddu is not among the 20 players that are flying out to face Ethiopia in a friendly match on Sunday, August 29.
The striker who plies his trade with Botola Premier League side RS Berkane has been with the Cranes after he was named in the provisional squad that started training under coach Micho.
However, Kaddu missed training earlier this week after leaving camp due to a reported injury.
Despite scoring Uganda Cranes goal against Cape Verde that took the team back to 2019 AFCON, Kaddu has turned into a surplus to requirements in recent memory.
The two goalkeepers Simon Tamale (Soltilo Bright Stars FC) and Nafian Alionzi (URA FC) have been ommitted.
KCCA FC midfielder Gift Ali and Vipers right back Paul Willa have been left out despite impressive showings at club level in the concluded season.
Nicholas Kasozi who reportedly went missing from camp and Muzamir Mutyaba are not part of the travelling contingent as well.
Eric Ssenjobe (Police FC), Arthur Kiggundu (Express), Hassan Muhamood (Police FC) and Jude Ssemugabi (Mbarara City FC) have been dropped as well.
The squad will be joined by foreign based players before facing Kenya and Mali next month.
