Paidha Black Angels Set To Conduct Trials

West Nile Regional League side Paidha Black Angels will conduct trials ahead of the 2021/22 season, the club has confirmed.

According to the statement, the scheduled trials will be held at the Bar Okoro Stadium in Paidha, Zombo District.

The initiative comes just weeks after they announced an interim chairman Piyic Lewin, whose election was limited to only major stakeholders at the club.

The Blacks are also reportedly in talks to acquire the services of former UPDF FC and Ndejje University FC assistant coach Chekechan AbduMalik.

As all these deliberate actions to take the club back to it’s artistic roots intensify, their on-pitch preparations have also not been abandoned as they have confirmed participation in the inaugural AbaBet WestNile Popular 8 tournament.

This tournament will be hosted at the AbaBet Greenlight stadium in Arua and will harbour the best teams from the WestNile region including Arua Hill, Onduparaka and so forth.

Paidha Black Angels have been pitted in Group B for this particular competition and will negotiate passage out of the group involving: Calvary FC, Arua City and Adjumani FC.

They have however lost a host of players in the ongoing transfer window including: Odargiu Khalid, Choka Julius and Otingcwinyu Erick who left for a direct rival in Calvary FC.

It must be remembered that the Blacks were part of the 2018/2019 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season and were unable to shrug off relegation advances.

Their adventure in the Big League wasn’t sophisticated either and subjected them to yet another agonizing relegation to the regionals with just five points to show.
