Striker Joel Madondo’s move to Uganda Premier League Champions Express FC has fallen through, the SportsNation has learnt.

Earlier on this week, reports had it that the Former Busoga United striker was on the verge of completing his move to the Wankulukuku based side with talks between the player’s representatives and the club said to have been taking significant strides.

As the Red Eagles gear up for a new season and continental football as well, Madondo has rightfully emerged as the player to boost their striking options.

However, it has been understood that both parties have failed to reach a final agreement at the final hour hence calling off his move.

Last season, Madondo signed a short six months employment contract with now newly Uganda Premier league entrants Gaddafi FC and has been a key member in their maiden promotion.

Prior to his move to the Soldier Boys, Madondo, 22, had signed a three-year-contract in Morocco following his contentious move from Busoga United. However, He left Wydad frustrated citing unpaid salaries at a club he joined in January this year.

Madondo, was also a main target for URA FC, but it is said that he has opted to extend his stay at Gaddafi FC who have just been promoted to UPL.
