World Cup Qualifiers: Four Ugandan Officials To Take Charge Of Tanzania Vs Madagascar

Four Ugandan referees have been handed officiating roles for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier Group J clash between East African side Tanzania and Madagascar.

The aforementioned encounter will take place on Tuesday September 7th at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in what will be matchday two of the campaign.

Mashood Sali will represent the country as the centre referee for the fixture while Dick Okello and Katenya Ronald will serve as the first and second assistant referees respectively. Ali Sabilla will be the Fourth official.

The other two officials who have been handed roles are Somalia’s Ahmed Ali Mohamed and Namibia’s Shillunga Erastus.

Tanzania shared the spoils with the Democratic Republic of Congo in a (1-1) scoreline of their opening encounter in this year’s qualifiers campaign. The game was played on Thursday 2nd September.

To make out of Group J the Taifa Stars have to hurriedly forget about the result against DR Congo and have a better showing between both Benin and Madagascar. They currently sit third with one point after one game played.

Like all East African Countries, Tanzania are also on the road to break the jinx and qualify to the first ever FIFA World Cup competition that is slated to take place in 2022 Qatar.
