Drama As URA FC Contacts Sam Ssimbwa Over Possible Return

URA FC have approached Sam Ssimbwa for a possible return at the club, The-SportsNation sources have learnt.

The club parted ways with Ssimbwa last month after the two sides failed to agree on a number of terms.

The Tax Collectors consequently handed the baton to former player Simeone Masaba on an interim basis.

In dramatic turn of events, the the four-time league winners held talks with Ssimbwa asking him to return at the club.

Ssimbwa left the club after his relationship with CEO Henry Mayeku hit a rocky end, and per sources, the club is not willing to extend Mayeku’s expired contract.

Ssimbwa is also a target in Oman, a job that was earlier offered to coach Fred Kajoba.

In related developments, URA FC who are set to face Ethiopian Coffee FC in CAF Confederation Cup encounter this Sunday, also held talks with Sam Timbe.

Timbe was last year appointed by Malaysian top flight team Persatuan Bolasepak Sarawak FC.

The former Tusker FC coach won four CECAFA Kagame Cup titles, one each with SC Villa, Police, Atracco and Yanga.
