West Nile side Onduparaka FC have completed the signing of former Uganda Cubs striker Jarieko James from regional rivals Paidha Black Angels.
The transfer was confirmed by the player’s representative Chancelee Motgan on the evening of Tuesday September 7th 2021.
Jarieko easily comes off as a product of FUFA Juniors League having featured for Paidha Black Angels where he massively impressed to earn the armband and ascend to leadership at such a young age.
He would depart the 2018/2019 league debutants to join Jinja side BUL FC a year later but to his dismay, the proposed move didn’t work out to expectation and saw him return home to Paidha.
Jarieko was also part of the U17 Uganda Kobs side that camped in Turkey two years ago for the CAF AFCON U17 tournament and at the tournament proper in Tanzania.
He brings a fresh look, breath and industry at Onduparaka FC who have witnessed an entire litany of players departing the club. The core of these being forwards, as headlined by Kabon Living who moved to URA FC.
Their response has been silence in the transfer market despite further reports linking them with a move that will see their former forward and captain Shaban Muhammad return to the club.
This is however a developing story and the club is yet to come out with anything confirmed about the deal.
In the event that the deal happens, it will epitomize the fact that his stay at Kitende has been the worst decision in terms of his football career.
Shaban has only scored two goals with the Kitende side and gone ahead to wreck havoc during his short stay there.
Meanwhile, the Caterpillars have released over fourteen players from the squad that represented them last season.
