Arua Hill Unveil Former UPDF Forward

New Uganda Premier league entrants Arua Hill SC have officially unveiled former UPDF forward Robert Eseru.

The confirmation of his deal was made official via the club’s social media accounts on Tuesday, September 14th.

As earlier reported by this website last month, Eseru had already agreed Personal terms and is said to have penned a two year’s employment contract with the West Nile based club.

Eseru, who crossed from Ndejje University to UPDF FC, has spent three seasons with the Army side after helping them back to the top flight.

Last season, Eseru put up a spirited performance for the Army side as they finished eighth on the UPL log. He scored five goals and scooped two man of the Match awards against MYDA FC and SC Villa.

The lanky forward was also part of the Ndejje University team that gained promotion to the Uganda Premier League.

Eseru becomes the latest and ninth official signing for the club joining other new arrivals like Nigerian midfielder Innocent Maduka, Sharif Yusuf Saaka, Andama Junior and Faizal Ibrahim Anini.

The others joining the long list of new entrants are midfielder Ivan Eyam, Gaddafi Wahab, forward Samuel Ssekamatte and defender Toha Rashid who recently joined from Vipers SC.

Reports also have it that former UPDF defenders Fred Okot and Bright Vuni are on the verge of joining the Kongolo boys with only official unveiling pending.

In the ongoing transfer window, the West Nile side have established themselves as big spenders in the market and are already landing every name they point at in a bid to deepen their squad depth for the upcoming season.

And now with a few days to the closure of the transfer window, more new players are expected to be unveiled at the club.
