Nivana Hydrates Uganda National Football Teams In Sh500m Deal

Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has acquired Nivana Water as the latest sponsor for the National football teams.

For the next three years, Nivana (Crown Beverages Limited) will be the main exclusive national teams water partner.

The deal, unveiled on Wednesday at FUFA house in Mengo, is worth Sh500m in cash and product.

“It is another moment for us as FUFA to welcome another player in association of the beautiful game in Nivana,” started FUFA president Moses Magogo.

“We understand how important Water is to the sportsman.

“Water has been one of our biggest expenses with the National teams. And We are very thankful to the team at Nivana, it has been a along discussion.

“Signing a contract that brings a value of Sh500m a year is great value. We have enough water for all our national teams and that is an achievement.”

FUFA is running nine national teams including the Men’s Senior National team – the Uganda Cranes.

The Cranes have over eight partners including Airtel, NIC, Nile Special among others.

Magogo added: “We need more partners that will bring value to our national teams.There will always be space, and our marketing team continues to bring more on board.”

Crown Beverages head of marketing Timothy Luzinda commended the good work at the Federation with the National teams before revealing that coming on board was an easy decision because they have been long term partners of Football and Sport in general.

He commented: “As Crown Beverages, we are honoured to be part of this amazing journey, this is not the first time we are partnering with FUFA. We have been with them when Beach Soccer was still a young sport. We have been part and parcel of other FUFA engagements.

“The deal is crafted in a way that is mutually beneficial.

‘Nivana Water is produced to global quality standards, it is packaged in very slick bottles and available countrywide.

“We are super excited to be part of this. Water plays a key role in the success of an athlete.”

FUFA chairman head of Marketing Rogers Byamukama and Nivana’s Brand manager Eenest Ssentongo were also present on the event.

  1. Uganda Cranes
  2. Uganda Kobs (U23)
  3. Uganda Hippos (U20)
  4. Uganda Cubs (U17)
  5. Uganda U15
  6. Sand Cranes

Women:

  1. Crested Cranes
  2. Women U20
  3. Women U17
