The Federation of Uganda Football Association has rescheduled the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi final game between BUL FC against Express from 22nd September to 23rd September 2021.
The new developments were confirmed on Friday September 17th by the FUFA Competitions department.
Initially, the game was slated to takeplace on 22nd September. However, following the rescheduling of Express FC’ CAF champions league match against Al- Merriekh from 17th to 19th Sept, it affected the initial travel plans of Express FC back home from Sudan.
And as a result, the FUFA Competitions department department decided to set a new date of 23rd Sept for the tie.
The venue remains unchanged as it will takeplace at the Fufa Technical centre in Njeru.
The other semi final clash will see Police FC taking on Vipers SC on 21st September at the same venue.
The winner from either tie will play in the final at the same venue on 26th September.
At the end of last month, FUFA resolved to have the semi-final games to be played as a one-leg affair and agreed to scrape the home-and-away format.
It is important to note that this year’s competition started at the round of 32 involving Big League and UPL teams.
Last year in 2020, the tournament was called off due to the outbreak of the deadly pandemic of the coronavirus that hit the whole globe, halting Sporting activities and the economy at large.
