Midfielder Karim Ndugwa and striker Denis Mwemezi are the headline new signings at Tooro United as the side prepare for the 2021/22 season.
The ‘Entale Za Tooro’ secured automatic league promotion on June 13 2021 after beating Kigezi Homeboyz 1-0 at the last day of the season to finish top of Rwenzori Group with 31 points.
The club, marred with financial struggles, will be hoping to become a permanent fixture in the league for the coming seasons.
Having lost a couple of players including Lawrence Kigonya, they have so far added seven new signings including Ndugwa who comes with experience having featured for Villa, Wakiso Giants among others.
Mwemezi joins Tooro United after a barren spell at Vipers, which was his first top flight club after Masaza Cup with Ssese.
Hamis Gabite, a midfielder who has played for Bright Stars, Bugiri De School and Bugerere Ssaza, is the other addition.
Former Maroons midfielder Ronald Kikonyongo, a brother to Keziron Kizito, has also signed for the club.
Mutoni Mujib, Hussein Wanji and Apollo Kaggwa have reportedly joined the club as well.
