Uganda U20 Women: Ayub Khalifa Names Final Squad For Kenya Duel

Uganda U20 Women’s National Team Head Coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi has revealed the final squad that will face Kenya in the 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

The squad of 20 players include striker Juliet Nalukenge who joined the team this week from Cyprus.

Uganda faces Kenya in the first leg on Saturday, 25th September in Nairobi before a return leg back in Kampala in two weeks time.

Preparations for the two-legged knockout qualifier started off with the team entering residential camp at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on September 8.

The team has played three practice matches with Crested Cranes side that is preparing to play in COSAFA – They won one of the three games.

The winner of the tie on aggregate will face the winner of the second-round tie pitting Mozambique against South Africa.

Ten players have been dropped from the initial squad of 30 that was summoned earlier.

The team left Njeru on Wednesday and are residing at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi. They will be heading out to Nairobi in early Thursday.
