FUFA Moves To Help Villa In Forthcoming Presidential Elections

Federation of Uganda Football Association has taken steps in helping record League winners SC Villa in their upcoming Presidential elections.

Villa elections were called off following a court order in respect to the petition of a certain Brenda Nambalirwa Kawuma.

Consequently, the club returned to the leadership of Interim Committee which was earlier introduced in 2018 after departure of then President Ben Misagga.

“FUFA reiterates its strategic support to create creating proper community clubs which direction SC Villa has taken,” reads a letter to Villa CEO Shawn Mubiru from FUFA CEO Edgar Watson.

The letter says that Villa requested to have the FUFA Electoral Committee (FEC) organise the club elections by the October 23 2021.

The FEC has named Joram Katende (Member of FUFA EC) and Rev Father Kimbowa to join the three names proposed by Villa Congress to comprise the Electoral Committee.

Its this new Villa Electoral Committee, that also has Isaac Walukagga (Chairman), Kavuma Ssekidde (Member) and Rev. Father Kimbowa (Member) that will organise the elections.
