Uganda Cranes: Micho Drops More Players Ahead of Rwanda Tie

Uganda Cranes coach Micho Milutin Sredejovich has dropped more players from the squad preparing to face Rwanda in World Cup Qualifiers.

The SportsNation has learnt that about five players have been released from camp.

The said players are Patrick Mbowa and Ashraf Mandela of URA FC, and KCCA FC trio of Brian Aheebwa, Herbert Achai and Musa Ramathan, awaiting official communication from FUFA.

The quinted joins other players – David Bagoole (Vipers), George Kaddu (Wakiso Giants), Joachim Ojera (URA), Ibrahim Wamana (UPDF) and Davis Kasirye (KCCA) – who were dropped off earlier.

This leaves a total of 23 local-based players currently in camp ahead of Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars tie.

Uganda visit Kigali for the first tie away on October 7 and a home game in Kitende three days later.

Micho stated that 10 foreign based players will be added to the Squad.

The Cranes beat KCCA FC 2-1 in a practice match on Friday and will face Vipers SC on Sunday in a second friendly.
