Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC have revealed their transfer ins and outs in the just concluded Transfer window ahead of the 2021/22 UPL Season.
The new developments were confirmed on Monday October 4th, 2021 via the Club’s official website.
Midfielder Bright Anukani who joined from Big league side Proline FC and goalkeeper Jack Komakech were the only new additions at the club in the just concluded window.
Two youngsters were also promoted of youngsters from the Vipers SC Junior team. These are midfielder Ivan Ashaba commonly known as ‘Di Maria’ and Goalkeeper Mutwalib Mugolofa.
However, in the process, some players left the Kitende based side on mutual consent and some after the expiration of their contracts.
The said players who departed at the club are defender Rashid Toha who moved to newcomers Arua Hill SC, goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya, Abraham Ndugwa and Shaban Muhammad who mutually parted ways with the club. The latter was officially unveiled at his former side Onduparaka FC at the start of this week.
In a bid to find more game time, some players were loaned out to different clubs on a seasonal long loans. These are Midfielder Mpanga Sula, who moved Gaddafi FC, defender Ahmed Amayo moved to Onduparaka FC on a season-long loan while Denis Mwemezi was sent to Tooro United FC.
For Brian Kalumba, who had earlier been on loan last season at UPDF decided to make temporary switch to Gaddafi FC.
Last month, Vipers who are under a new Brazilian coach Roberto Oliveira were crowned Champions of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after they humiliated Bul FC by 8-1 in the finals played at the FUFA Technical centre in Njeru.
With the days fast approaching to the new season, the Venoms will kick start their new Uganda Premier league campaign with a trip to Lugogo as they face Police FC.
