Man of the Moment Bobosi Byaruhanga Yearning For More Accolades

Youngster Bobosi Byaruhanga is fast becoming a household name in Ugandan Football circles.

The Vipers SC midfielder’s football career is at a take-off stage at both the national team and his club, Vipers SC.

He was named the ForteBet Real Stars footballer of the month for September following a string of eye catching performances.

Byaruhanga was named the 2020/21 best midfielder of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

He was again voted the Most Valuable player (MVP) at the inaugural All Star game that was held on 27th the previous month.

Surely with all this on his name, being named the best player of the month was inevitable.

Upon receiving his accolade that was picked by Vipers SC PRO Abdul Wasike on Monday, Byaruhanga, currently with Uganda Cranes National team stated how everything he touched turned gold in September.

“The highlight of September all month because we won our two crucial games and a trophy. You have that feeling sometimes when you feel so strong and unbeatable and that was the best moment that I had throughout the month,” he told Vipers media.

As Vipers demolished Bul FC 8-1 to win their second Uganda Cup trophy in club history, Bobosi put up a good show as he registered two assists on the day.

However, the midfider fancies the team’s success more that personal accolades.

“I am very happy, but it is always a team effort. I have always been someone who does not pay a lot of attention to individual trophies but it is always nice to be recognised.

“I don’t know what the secret was to getting there, I just think it is the support I get from my teammates and all of the people around the team and the club.”

He vows not to rest on his laurels but rather keep on winning more personal accolades in time to come.

“I don’t take it for granted. I will try to continue like that and maybe even do better.”

Currently, Bbobosi is part of the Uganda Cranes team that is preparing for the upcoming FIFA Qatar World Cup Qualifier double header against Rwanda that is slated for this month.

And now, with the new UPL season fast approaching, Bbobosi will prove to be a key member for the Venoms.
