In the bid to uplift the livelihood of retired football legends, Proline FC has partnered with local broadcaster Sanyuka TV to intiate a campaign dubbed “OJJUKIRA LEGEND WO ?”.
The Campaign, that also has Star Times Uganda as sponsors, will be officially launched on Saturday 9th October with a charity football game between Uganda’s football legends and the parliamentary football team.
Proceeds from the fore mentioned game will be channelled towards various football legends whose survival has been raveged by the Covid19 pandemic.
Proline Club director Mujib Kasule has spoken glowingly about the initiative: “Our legends are our assets as a country, and we should always cherish them during and after their active playing days.”
StarTimes Brand and Marketing Director Isma Lule said: “Legends are a key pillar in the growth of Ugandan football. We thank Sanyuka TV for bringing together the icons. As star Times we are excited to associate with the historicals of the beautiful game.”
For Jackson Mayanja, Chairman of the Uganda Football legends, said that it is an ideal move to remember and honor football legends.
“It good to know that there are people who still think about us, and are willing to help our people. It’s never to late to help a football legend.” The Former Cranes and KCCA player stated.
