Mukwala’s Imminent Move To Asante Kotoko Hits Dead End, Again

Steven Mukwala will not join Asante Kotoko this season, reports in Ghana have revealed.

The Ghanian Giants have been in touch with URA FC but a deal has failed to mature.

It was earlier reported that Mukwala was to sign a four-year deal with Asante Kotoko.

The deal has been on since last year before he joined URA but an agreement was not reached due to high demands from the player.

Football Ghana has said that URA FC and Asante Kotoko have failed to reach an agreement this time and the player will stay put.

The Striker, part of Uganda Cranes team in the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers, scored a double at Kitende as URA FC eliminated Ethiopian Coffee in CAF Confederation Cup.

Mukwala won the StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2019/20 season golden boot with Maroons (on loan from Vipers) with 13 goals in 22 appearances.

Asante Kotoko who have been champions of the Ghana Premier League a record 24 times, have won the CAF Champions League twice in 1970 and 1983.
