Wamboya Hopeful Gaddafi FC will Bounce Back Stronger

Gaddafi FC head Coach Wamboya Mubarak is hopeful that his side will bounce back stronger in the upcoming games.

This he said following his side’s 2-0 defeat to Busoga United on Monday, in their first Uganda Premier League fixture held at the Gaddafi Arena.

Despite opening league account on a sad note, Wamboya is still hopeful for better results.

“It’s sad that we lost the game but we have not lost hope.We are going to work on the few issues that went wrong where we lost concentration and focus, he told the pressmen.”

Teenager Elvis Ngonde and forward Anwar Ntege were on target as Busoga United silenced Wamboya’s charges at their home ground in Jinja.

However, for the two conceded goals, Gaddafi will have their goalkeeper Paul Mujapani to blame – He miscalculated a long ball from Anthony Mayanja which allowed Ntege find Ngonde who scored in an unguarded net, and it was the same story for Ntege’s second goal.

This left the gaffer disappointed and admitted that they couldn’t have conceded.

“We relaxed a little bit and gave out avoidable goals, due to miscommunication, we couldn’t have conceded. But we promise the fans that we shall bounce back stronger, he said.

Gaddafi, who are in their maiden Season in the UPL will be making a trip to Mtn Omondi Stadium as they face KCCA FC this week on Saturday.

With the days fast approaching to their next task, Wamboya’s charges will have to forget the past and pick up themselves against the Kasasiro Boys that registered a 3-0 victory against Wakiso Giants away from home.
