Bright Stars will play host to Onduparaka FC on Friday at Kavumba Recreation Centre.

Having failed to pick maximum points in their opening matches, both Onduparaka and hosts Bright Stars have set their sights on the three points.

Bright Stars lost 3-1 to Mbarara City in Kakyeka in the league opener, with their only positive pick coming in form of Nelson Senkatuka scoring on his second club debut.

Onduparaka came from behind to draw with UPDF thanks to Rashid Agau’s second half equaliser.

Last season, Bright Stars finished 5th with 42 points, 12 points above Onduparaka in the 12th with 28 points which is their worst finish since they were promoted.

“We lost our game against Mbarara City not because we were poor but because of mistakes,” Bright Stars Gaffer Baker Mbowa said ahead of the game with Onduparaka.

“We came back and corrected our mistakes and we are ready to play against Onduparaka.

“So we need a win when playing at home and we shall get it because that’s what we shall play for.”
