Lady Rugby Cranes Start Preparations For Safari 7s

Just right after the Women’s rugby 7s Circuits, preparation for the Rugby 7s Safari Tournament that will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on the 30th and 31st of October have started.

The teams are expected to participate in the women’s category are the Kenya Lionesses that will field two teams, South Africa select, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

The 7s Rugby National team technical team utilized the Women’s Rugby 7s Circuit to select players for the 7s National team in preparation for the games.

The final team will be selected during the course of the week. The non residential training commences today at 2:00 pm at Kingsway Park Bweyogerere.

The team is headed by Coach Onen Charles who will be assisted by Coach Kigongo Ssebalamu for Strength and Conditioning.

The team physiotherapist is Prosser Namusisi while the team manager is Phionah Nakatete.

The players that have been called for the Women’s Rugby 7s National Team are;

Yudaya Nalubega (Ewes), Peace Lekuru (Entebbe Avengers), Maimunah Nassozi (Entebbe Avengers), Juliet Collins Nandawula (Entebbe Avengers), Christine Akello (Entebbe Avengers), Comfort Angayika (Ewes), Emily Nanziri (Thunderbirds), Agnes Nakuya (Thunderbirds), Yvonne Najjuma (Thunderbirds), Susan Adong (Black Pearls), Juliet Ainomugisha (Ewes), Grace Auma (Black Pearls), Emilly Lekuru (Black Pearls), Namboozo Mastulah (Mbale Eagles), Naburwala Agatha (Mbale Eagles), Sandra Amol (Lira Matrix), Wynny Rakicha (Lira Matrix), Mary Nakato (Black Diamonds), and Nagguddi Habbiba (Mbale Eagles)
