Bamweyana’s Reported Resignation Overshadows Wakiso Preps

Wakiso Giants are yet to comment about the viral news about their head coach Douglas Bamweyana.

The tactician has not attended the team training o Monday and efforts to reach him on phone have been futile.

The Purple Sharks have got off to a nightmare start having lost their two games against KCCA and Vipers.

The two losses may not come as a surprise given the quality of the opponents but the fact that they have conceded eight goals without reply leaves a lot of questions.

They conceded three in first half against KCCA and were later torn to threads in Kitende.

Much needs to be done, and whether a reshuffle in the technical team is the right take, remains to be seen.

Just like Wakiso, Police FC will also be going for their first point (s) on board having lost to Vipers and BUL.

Abdallah Mubiru will be hoping to benefit from the reported Bamweyana’s resignation at Wakiso Giants to take maximum points.

Police FC, who won four of their first six games last season, have a lot of work to do to regain their mojo and the absence of Mawejje leaves them more vulnerable.

Last season, the two sides met on four occasions including twice in the Uganda Cup.

Match Stats
This will be the seventh meeting between the two sides.

The first six have resulted into three Police victories, two wins for Wakiso and the other ending in a draw.
