Uganda Premier League record holders SC Villa have officially returned to Fufa Technical centre Njeru as their new home ground ahead of their first game.
The new developments were confirmed by the club’s deputy Chief executive Officer, Brenda Nambalirwa on Monday afternoon via the club’s official website.
“We have returned to Njeru as had earlier been arranged by the club before we shifted to Kavumba recently. So, we will be playing all our home games there until Namboole is available again in the future,” Nambalirwa stated via the Club’s website.
Ealier on before the kick off of the Uganda Premier League season on October 15th, the Jogoos had shifted to Kavumba Recreation Centre, after they found Njeru inaccessible, yet they had already paid for the ground.
However, the club has now confimed that the football governing body, FUFA which owns Njeru has since sorted the misunderstandings, that had forced the 16 time Champions to move to Kavumba a fortnight ago.
At the Start of this week, the Federations granted the Joggos a provisional Club license, giving them a go ahead to kick start their new season.
It was earlier said by the Federation that the club had not met club licensing requirements and improper governance issues hence not being included in the final UPL Fixture.
As a result, these new developments temporarily end a back and forth between the two institutions that has seen Villa miss the opening two games of the 2021/22 UPL Season.
