Vipers SC youngster Bobosi Byaruhanga says that they are taking each game like a final in this new 2021/22 Uganda Premier League season.
Vipers eased past Wakiso Giants courtesy of a 5-0 win last Friday at Kitende to storm the league summit.
It was Vipers second win from as many games this season, built from a Yunus Sentamu quartet of goals.
“We are playing every game like a final, we want to win this league and go back to the CAF champions League, Byaruhanga said.
In this new season, the Venoms have had a bright start, scoring seven goals and are yet to concede any in the first two games. They beat Police 2-0 last Sunday in their opener at Lugogo.
And for Bobosi, the performance is not a surprise to him as they had enough preparations in the pre- season.
“We prepared very well through our pre-season and we are ready to work hard in every game and become victorious. Because at Vipers we take each game like a final,” he added.
About his man of the match award, he said “I am very happy to be named Pilsner man of the match, this motivates me to keep working hard.”
Earlier this week, Bobosi was norminted for the Airtel-FUFA Male Player of the Year 2021. The Midfielder helped his side win the 2020/21 Stanbic Uganda Cup trophy and was part of the Uganda Hippos side that reached at the Finals of the AFCON U20 tournament held in Mauritania.
Bobosi will tussle it out together with his teammates Yunus Ssentamu and Abdul Azizi Kayondo (Vipers SC), Shafik Kagimu (URA FC) and Eric Kambale (Express FC) for the big award.
With more league games coming in, Bobosi wants to ve a key member for the Venoms as they seek to take their fifth league title this in club history.
